Hand drying towels

These are cute and 1 little ball of yarn from AC Moore is all it takes to do one towel.  Nicole's Studio Samples again.
Best part is they are in the dollar bin. $1 per ball of yarn. So cost is low and you could make cute presents for folks with them.

The yarn is soft and has a real nice texture to it. As you can see comes in a variety of colors.

The towels is just double stitched. I free handed them (is there any other way??).
As you closer to the desired length you start skipping stitches to narrow the top. I used a tie this time. Magic buttons can be a pain to do and I like the ties.

The Cactus Group

The larger cactus yarn is Red Heart which I got from JoAnn Fabrics. Not soft but I love the colors. The smaller cactus bump on its top is from Nicole's Studio Samples bought at AC Moore.

The 3 together all are different textures and colors bought from AC Moore.

I love the variety. I did even the pots and everything is free hand sorry no patterns. I just do it!  Sometimes I have to rip it back to fix it and make it look right and then just keep going.

Do you think they would be cute on your desk??

Haha none of it is cotton!! Oh wait I lied, the flower on the large cactus is cotton.

Simple stitches, double around and the some length wise. The arms are added and they all are stuffed with that fill stuff like in pillows.

Drinking Bottle Koozies

I've done 3 of them and it seems people really like them.

I've had folks ask me to make then one. Maybe???

I've got 2 different sizes. One for a 16 to 20 oz. bottle and one for a 24 oz. bottle. The larger one I used a circle plastic canvas piece for the bottom.  That worked really well, flat and stable.

The smaller ones I did a magic circle for the bottom. Since I don't have a pattern I just made the circle big enough to hold the bottle. Sorry no patterns!
The top is what the problem is, how to secure the bottle. Wrap around or go over the bottle opening.

Jena suggested go over the mouth of the bottle, I did that on the 24oz. bottle and I will say I don't like it as much. You are very limited on size of bottle and the cloth is right there when drinking. I'll have to think on that and try other options.

Had an officer tell me I should sell these, ummm. We'll see. So how much would people pay for one?
